Welcome to LAYORA ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information about you when you use our mobile application LAYORA ("App").
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account (name, email address). We do not store your password - authentication is handled securely by Firebase Authentication. We also collect usage data such as perfumes added to your collection, disliked perfumes, layering combos you save, and your subscription status. We do not collect sensitive personal data such as your location, contacts, or browsing history outside the App.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
• Provide, maintain, and improve the App
• Personalise your experience and generate layering combo suggestions
• Process transactions and manage your subscription
• Send transactional emails (e.g. password reset)
• Respond to your comments, questions and support requests
• Monitor and analyse usage trends to improve the App
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase Firestore. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest. Passwords are never stored in plain text - they are managed entirely by Firebase Authentication using industry-standard hashing. We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information from unauthorised access.

We use the following third-party services:
• Firebase (Google) – authentication and database
• RevenueCat – subscription and in-app purchase management
• Fragella API – perfume and note data
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.
6. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the App services. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen, which will permanently delete all your personal data from our systems within 30 days.
7. Children's Privacy
LAYORA is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including:

1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing or using the LAYORA mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
LAYORA is a perfume layering assistant that allows users to build a personal perfume collection, identify perfumes they dislike, and discover personalised layering combinations using perfumes they already own to improve fragrances they don't enjoy. The App uses an AI-assisted matching system to suggest complementary perfume pairings.
3. User Accounts
To use LAYORA, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to update it as necessary. You may not create an account on behalf of another person.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
LAYORA offers a free tier and a Premium subscription (monthly and annual options). Premium subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. A 7-day free trial is available for new Premium subscribers. After the trial period, your account will be automatically charged unless you cancel before the trial ends. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. You can manage and cancel your subscription through your device's App Store settings.
5. Free Tier Limitations
Free tier users may generate up to 20 layering suggestions per month and save up to 3 combos. Premium subscribers enjoy unlimited layering suggestions and unlimited saved combos.
6. Intellectual Property
All content in the App, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, icons, and software, is the property of LAYORA and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The perfume data (names, brands, notes, images) is provided by the Fragella API and remains the intellectual property of their respective owners.
7. User Content
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the App (e.g. notes about why you dislike a perfume). By submitting content, you grant LAYORA a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, store and display that content solely for the purpose of providing the App's services to you.
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to:
• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the App's source code
• Use automated tools to scrape or access the App's data
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with the proper operation of the App
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. LAYORA does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the layering suggestions will meet your specific expectations. Fragrance perception is highly subjective and individual results will vary.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LAYORA shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the App.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts.
